What the point of sting looking like the joker?

When Sting got screwed for his TNA championship, he went to Hulk's office and a darker side to Sting emerged and choked hulk. Then for the next few weeks he starts to change his face paint to show a new side of Sting. Hard to explain. U should got watch the past 2 or 3 weeks of TNA.
