Ok, so this morning I let my great dane outside to go to the bathroom when we got out of bed. He was outside for approximately 3-4 minutes before he came back inside. I noticed that he was kind of acting goofy and rubbing his head into his dog bed and pawing at his face. Shortly there after I realized that his eyes were swollen up and had bumps or hives on his head. There was no swelling or hives anywhere else on his body. This was around 6:30-7:00 am this morning and most of the swelling had gone down by the time I got him to the vet at 9 am. The doctor assumed that it was a bug bite or a sting, as I am sure any vet would have due to his symptoms, and just gave him a benadryl shot and no steroids. We came home and he slept for several hours. I let him outside to go to the bathroom after he woke up. He was outside for only a couple of minutes before he came in. About 5 minutes later I noticed his eyes were swelling up again. I gave him 100mg of benadryl as the vet had instructed me to do. This was around 4pm and the swelling went down. I went outside with my dog tonight, (7:45ish), to play with him and keep an eye on him to see if his eyes would swell up again, and they did. I was watching him pretty close and I didn't see anything sting or bite him. I am so confused to what could be doing this to him because all of the "seasonal" allergy related/ hay fever stuff I have looked up seems to go along with more of itchy skin and feet - Not swelling of the eyes and hives ONLY on the face. I will keep an eye on him for the next day or so, and if it continues to happen I will take him back to the vet. I am trying to get advice from other dog owners who may have had similar issues with their dog before I take him back to the vet. I spent $100 for today's visit and I'm collecting unemployment at the moment, so money is tighter than I would like it to be. If anyone has advice or might know what this is, PLEASE help!! Blood in stool, can you help?

I am noticing blood along with my stool after going to the restroom. The blood is not mixed into the stool, but it comes out along with it (it is usually bright red). Sometimes the blood squirts out in a stream as I bear down.Also, I see dark red fragments that accompany it, I can't tell whether its skin from inside or coagulated blood.Other symptoms are, stinging sensations in my intestinal area. This started happening when I started college. I don't sweat a lot, I just have smell. Deodorant honestly seems to make the smell worst. I've gotten to the point to where I have to carry around alcohol wipes and deodorant when I go out so that when they start to smell, I can make my way to the restroom to "refesh" myself. After I shower, I put on a few swipes of clinical strength deodorant and within the next few hours or by morning, my armpits will smell like I've been working out for three hours (no sweat, by the way). I'm wondering if this is some type of hormonal problem. Has anyone ever experienced this problem or have you ever known someone who has? Any cures/prevention methods? Or should I just suck it up and see a dermatologist?

I have arthritis in my knees, back, and hands. This pregnancy has been really rough on me and now at 37 weeks the baby's weight has made it very difficult to move and almost impossible to complete daily tasks. I can't take my med.s due to pregnancy and Tylenol isn't doing crap for me. It hurts to move. I'm already in early labor and dilated to 1 cm. On top of all this doctors think I may have a mild form of tuberous sclerosis ( there is a 50% chance of me passing it on to my child, I didn't know I could be carrying this till after I saw a high risk OB). This can cause seizures and retardation. The stress is starting to throw me into a depression along with my inability to get around the house. I used to self mutilate (I don't say cut because I never used a knife). Question about ammonia and bleach exposure?

A few days ago my toilet wouldnt flush...I then realized that a plastic spoon had fallen in...process of elimination as to what was on top of the toilet I knew that was what was blocking it...tried plunging again and again and again...tried using a coat hanger to snag it...no dice...so today I figured I'd clean it before sticking my hand in the toilet...I grabbed bleach and poured some in...first mistake...second mistake was I didnt dilute it...third mistake I didnt think of the reaction between urine (ammonia) and bleach...anyways I continued scrubbing when one of my nostrils started stinging not burning...immediately I opened the window and left the bathroom--got a fan and had it pointing towards the window...I was only in the bathroom for about 3-4 minutes before I left to get fresh air...for about 5-10 minutes I had the smell of bleach in my nose...about an hour after everything was back to normal no scent no stinging...also I didnt have any coughing or wheezing...am I at any risk? I called posion control they said I should be fine but I have panic disorder and sometimes I tend to refuse that everything is A-okay...I would think I didnt have enough exposure to it to cause long term damage...especially since I felt fine relatively fast proceeding the incident...about 4 hours after I returned to the bathroom and the smell/potency was gone...flushed the toilet and the damn thing flushed fine...I guess the plastic spoon got dissolved or broke and it passed through? How much trouble? Car accident? longish? Last night my friend and I *she was driving* were involved in a car accident. She was driving back from her friends house down by the beach (unfamiliar area to us since she lives about two hours away) around 2:30 am. As she was driving down this road, within speed limit when we saw a cop car light up behind us, they ended up pulling the car behind us over not us but I guess because my friend was so nervous we missed a stop sign coming over this crossroad. Her right tire rim is shot and there is a pretty nice dent but no other damage. Likewise the other drivers car suffered a crushed headlight on the right side and a dent and scratches localized to that area. We called the cops and the other driver and passenger seemed unharmed but the driver was pretty pissed understandably. When the cops got there he started screaming that we were speeding going like 60 (we were only going 35) and that he was disabled and in pain. They ended up taking him to the hospital in a stretcher. My friend talked to the cops but was pretty hysterical the whole time. She told them that she missed the sign and all that. But now I am really worried what is going to happen to her and this whole situation. I know she is at fault for missing the stop sign and she is really cut up about it. She has no idea what to do, or whats going to happen to her. The cops said they are sending her tickets in the mail but I am really worried that the other driver is gonna sue her for all shes worth, which is basically nothing, she is only 19 and has about 50 dollars in the bank atm. So I wanted to maybe get some insight on this situation, from someone who knows what is likely ahead or been in this situation before. 1. What are the chances this guy sues? And how much could he walk away with if the insurance company refuses to settle (for damage to car or his medical bills if he does end up being hurt) 2. Why are my cats fighting?

I had the same thing happen with two of my cats I use to have, they were brothers and did literally everything together, even go to the litter box together (a bit creepy if you ask me). They were both really happy until they started maturing. Then they did nothing together, and constantly fought, growled, and hissed at each other. I think it has to do with dominance, normally this is a bigger issue in dogs, but it does commonly happen with cats as well. Your two females might also be in heat and there might be male cats around, and they could be competing for the males, just as males do for females. From my understanding, there isn't much that can be done to stop them from doing this unless you look into getting them both spayed. CatSitting...cat acting strange. HELP?

So me and my roommates are watching a friend's cat and she's acting strange. The first day she seemed fine, she was eating, exploring, purring etc. She followed us around rubbing our legs and everything. That all changed this morning. She had jumped up on the stove and pooped (which its owner said she wouldn't do) and I sat down and was scratching her head behind her ears. She was stretching and purring. i bought a fossil wallet and their are two metal balls on the inside and i thought i would be cool if those were magnetic to keep the wallet closed by itself. i tried swiping the magnet across the metal to turn it into a magnet but their was no such luck. i think the metal might be stainless steel because i know fossil uses stainless steel in a lot of their products. so any ideas on how to turn these pieces of metal into a magnet. p.s the metal had the faintest attraction like it wont hold itself to the metal when you tilt the wallet to the side but you can feel the slightest fraction of resistance when you lift it off the metal.

How can I integrate my cats with a new kitten?

We adopted a kitten who is 5 months old a few days ago. He is coming into a household that already has 2 cats that are brothers that we have been raising since they were six weeks old (They are now 2yrs old). We tried to follow instructions from our cat book and separated the older cats from the kitten so that they could slowly get used to his smell. But the kitten wanted nothing more than to play with the cats and escaped from the room he was in. Now, the 2 adult cats are on edge and upset. One of our cats used to be so sweet and loving and now is too worried about the kitten to care about us or to even want to go near anyone. He has pretty much secluded himself from everyone else. The kitten is continuously going up to each cat and sometimes with one he will get a lukewarm response, but with one he will get hissed at and swiped at no matter what. But he doesn't seem to care and still wants to play. Is there any steps that can be taken to get these cats to get along? Sometimes I see the adults hissing at each other now for no reason and I have never seen that with them before. I want the kitten to fit in but I cannot do it at the expense of my older cats. Allergic reaction to band aid?

I've got several spots of ringworm, and also an allergic reaction-type skin condition. I have to use band aids at night because of the reaction (I'll itch the ringworm and spread it). Last night, I put a band aid brand tough strip on the spot on my wrist. I had been putting one on at night, then putting a new one on in the morning. I took of my band aid today, and there were approximately 15-17 tiny circular spots with clear fluid where my band aid had been. I cleaned them with a wet cloth, and put some of my anti-fungal cream on them since I wasn't sure if they were ringworm. It burned to put the cream on the new spots (it didn't sting at all on the ringworm). Now, the small areas have golden colored scabs on them. Common sense tells me to leave the scabs alone, but I'm not sure if this is an allergy to the band aids or the adhesive, since I've never had an allergic reaction to either one before. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't have insurance, so I'm trying to avoid the doctor if someone else has experienced the same thing.

2 days ago I found a wasp in my room. I tried to get it to fly out of my window but instead it flew into my sleeve. New pet scorpion- Care tips/help?!?

This is terrible(no offence) The substrate should not be sand. They cant burrow easily in it and it retains almost no moisture. The substrate should be peat moss, vermiculite, peat moss/vermiculite mix, or coco nut fiber. I personally use coconut fiber. There should be at least 4 inches of substrate so they can burrow. The tank size and hides is right. They need humidity of at least 80%. They are a tropical species of scorpion. They do not like light so replace the light it has with an infrared bulb(they cant see infrared) or the ceramic heat emitter. The ceramic heat emitter is preferable because it produces no light at all. If your worried about it being to hot than but a thermostat to turn it down. That's what I did. I like to keep the humidity really high so I spray the cage 2-3 times a day heavily. I also pour some water in a corner so it can go to the bottom of the tank and absorb into the substrate to keep the humidity up all day. I do that twice daily. Buy a humidity/temperature gauge at Walmart. There about 10 dollars. They will just about anything that moves. Sometimes they even eat each other. its recommended to keep them singly but they can be housed together without too many problems. They are found in colonies in the wild. Don't feed them wild things cause they might have pesticides on them and contain parasites. idk how often they molt but i know they molt six times than they they stop. Its very hard to distinguish a male from a female. Take good care of your scorpion and don't listen to these people I know what im doing.

if archie was close to your dog he's probably sleeping in the kennel because it still carries his scent. If he were an indoor cat i'd suggest using feliway to calm him down while he adjusts to the new dog. This is a plug in or spray which releases cat pheromones to calm your cat, it's not noticable to humans. You could still try the spray in his kennel or bed so he feels he has a safe place to escape to. Good luck, i hope they settle down together soon.

Changing weather on HTC Freestyle?

lately my dad has been unusually aggressive he does not abuse any1 or anything, but he just rages very often and whenever me or my bro step out of line even unintentunaly he rages badly, and confiscates our equipment. yesterday he confiscated my mobile b/c i tripped and dropped a few papers he wanted. what had happened was he called me from outside about 6 inc out of the house and asked me to get a few papers from his briefcase i got them for him and steeped outside, but i did not have my shoe on so i could not go passed the yard. he was in the car just outside and on the phone i w8ed till he finished and said "dad i don't have my shoe on atm mind stepping out of ur car and taking the paper" he raged a bit (tbh i don't blame him) and asked me to go put on my shoe and come out, and i did but on the way i tripped and fell with the papers in my hand i quickly piled them back up and gave them to him (he ofc saw the papers falling) the papers where perfectly fine all that had happened was there was a bit of dust on the folder. he went into an all caps rage and confiscated everything including my phone the annoying thing is that it is the only phone in the house with my numbers i tried transfusing them but it will just take to long i have about 350 numbers in there and the thing that actually ticks me off is that he knows i can't go more than a day without my phone i don't text or anything but i generally get a lot of urgent calls from my friends my phone is also usually on silent so it does not disturb him and i payed for it as well 100% so yea im not rly sure what to do. i tryed talking to him but every time i did he just confiscated it for a longer period of time. im thinking of swiping his visa card as soon as he gets home (in-front of him ofc) and going to the nearest atm and jacking the phones money and putting it in my bank account and as soon as i get home ill tell him to keep the damn phone i don't want it anymore this is the exact 7th time he's confiscated my phone and in all previous 6 times ive missed out on a lot and he knows it.

Help with Introducing Cats (kinda messed up)?

Female cats always seem to take longer to adjust. Don't know why, that's just the way they are. This adjustment period is what we call "The 2 week hissy fits." I would recommend taking a CLEAN bath towel, then putting the 2 cats in a closer area, then take the towel, and rub the dominant cat, (the one that you acquired in your home 1st), rub the towel all over "Mouse" and then rub it on Cassie. Then taking another clean towel, rub that on Cassie, and then rub it on Mouse. What you are doing is transferring the smell from Mouse to Cassie, and then Cassie to Mouse. They seem to adapt better when they have the others smell/scent on them. Also, If you have a quieter area of your home where you can put a "blanket or towel with Cassie's smell on it, like right where she is sleeping, then she will probably adjust faster. Its not gonna happen overnight, but it will speed up the process. As far as the cat door to the outside, I wouldn't even be thinking about letting Cassie outside until she has adjusted to the inside, and her "new" routine. My mom let a cat out once right after we moved to a new home, and we later found him in the middle of the road run over by a car, and it appeared that he was headed back to the old house, cause we found his body halfway back to the old place when we went to pick up another load of furniture. It was an awful day! Mom has never gotten past the loss of her cat. We think that he was trying to go back to the old place, and your Cassie might try the same thing, looking for her babies. You will notice that when the cat shelter does adoptions now, they will usually send home wit the new "parolee" the same pad/blanket that was in his cage The last cat we adopted they sent him home withh the pad/blanket that was "his" from his cage, and he adjusted very quickly. He had a few weeks that were rough, as at his old home, he was let out at night, but here in Colorado, there are foxes all over the place at night, and I don't want him to get eaten up, so it took a while for him to get used to the new routine, but he did, and I also do take him out....IN the cat stroller! Well, hope this helps, and just be patient. All will work out.

I used to have a jailbroken version of iOS 4 (4.2.1), and it was pretty good, except for a few flaws. One of these flaws was so inconvenient that I was forced to restore my iPod Touch 3G and update to the latest software (4.3.3 as of June 21, 2011). On the old 4.2.1, when I used the double-click menu, the music tab of the multitasking bar popped up first, which was what I almost always wanted it for. Now, the first page of apps pops up, and if I want to get to my music controls I have to swipe to the right as well as double-clicking. Just a minor inconvenience. Is there any way you can make the double-click menu default to opening the music controls? This would be greatly appreciated.

Do I have OCD and is there something wrong with me?

I have been thinking that i have had OCD for quite a while. For a few years now I have noticed some symptoms that may be associated with OCD. In particular in the last year I received a mac book from my school. On the mac book when pressing the command key and the space bar it opens a quick spotlight option. Once I found out I could do this without affecting what I was working on I started tapping it, obsessively. I tapped the space bar while holding both command keys next to it. When I was typing in school or at home I would tap it after finishing a sentence or paragraph. It just became this thing that I did. I really don't know how to describe it, it sounds silly when typing this. This didn't hinder my work in anyway but it made a loud noise that nobody mentioned at home, I pressed the space bar hard and tapped it many many times trying to make it feel right but it never really did. This was accompanied by pressing hard and swiping my hand across the clicker looking for the same feeling. I also would type, delete, and re-type letters, especially 'e' and I think 'c', I think the girl who sat next to me in computer class noticed after I did it about 10 times. I would also highlight and re-highlight the words on a web page (in the past sentence I just typed, deleted and re-typed the letter 'd' and 'c'). I would also tap other key combinations such as the command+tab shortcut which switches applications. I noticed that my symptoms were directly related with how emotional I was or how much stress I am under. Since the summer started I haven't shown many of the symptoms mentioned above, partly because of the stress-free environment of summer and mostly (I think) because I don't have the mac book any more. This was all in the past year (my first year of high-school). Before this I would visualize lining up telephone poles that I saw through the windows of our car and in restaurants. My mother noticed that I would move around in my seat lining things up outside from my perspective. I also played a game in the car where I would line up the tops of the telephone poles (with the antenna-like tops with the wires) with the blue visor at the top of our windshield (this is hard to explain also). I've always suspected this was a game though. I don't do either of these things anymore. Nowadays I will roam around the house tapping the walls and tabletops and assorted bed stands that I walk by. Sometimes I with tap the first digits of my fingers (on the inside) with some force on the top of a table or a wall. When I get medicine out of the medicine cabinet I will repeatedly touch the door and close it because it doesn't close all the way and this bothers me. I also collect useless junk. I have pieces of paper and lint that I don't want to throw away for some reason. I just collect this stuff. When the top cloth layer of the inside sole of my right shoe came out my mother wanted to throw it away but I insisted that I keep it. This also includes the clippings of my jeans that were tearing off at the bottom. Luckily I have thrown both of these pathetic items away. During the summer after 8th grade I decided to go through and throw out all of my papers from that year. Most kids say they are ready to burn their binders but I wanted to horde mine and all of the papers inside. I wanted to keep all of those papers with my A+'s on them. I thought that one day I would need them to show to someone how smart I am. I ended up throwing them away. We kept them in a brown bag that was ready to be thrown out. My mother said she would throw them away in the morning. I had a mini-panic attack that evening and I think I convinced my mother to keep them for a month or two. They're gone now. I don't know if the rest of this is related or not but here it goes; When making a decision I can usually say yes or no. But like this one time my sister and her two friends were going out with my mother and they asked me whether I wanted to come along. I initially refused but then I sat in my chair for a bit while they went out to the car. I racked my brain trying to make a decision whether I wanted to go or not. I was and still am convinced that I need to be impulsive and take those seemingly minor decisions like going with my sister and her friends. I got really bad sunburned last weekend on my shoulder then it went to tan and now the tan is peeling :/ I even put aloe on from the time i got sunburned too. Now, I've been putting on Aveeno moisturizing lotion and Aloe gel like crazy. I put on the Aloe twice last night and twice today. I've put on the Aveeno moisturizer every hour today. I made the mistake yesterday of peeling the tan/sunburn so it's pink right there and every time i put something on it stings. One of the bad things is I was suppose to go to a waterpark on saturday. I was taking a random paper from the ground and Maggie came up and bit me and I swiped my hand away and let go of the paper. I have been taking 325 mg of ferrous sulfate and 500 mg of Vitamin C for about a week now due to my severe anemia. I read one of the side effects is constipation. I still poop, but it is only a little at a time. I always feel like I still have to poop after I have a bowel movement. I am extremely gasy & am starting to feel nauseous & dizzy. I am also experiencing crazy bloating of the stomach & sharp stinging pains in my abdomen & back. I can push down on my stomach & feel pressure & gas moving around. I work outside in an amusement park, so even when I do get the urge to poop, I have to hold it until after work. Usually after work I dont have to poop anymore. I have an HP touchsmart tm2t. I am overall pleased with the laptop, but I am havingproblems with the computer mouse. I did a lab in chemistry and mixed many chemicals to discover unknown cations.?

In one part i mixed the unknown with solid kno2, and a yellow gas, NO came out. a white precipitate formed, the lab said cobalt ions are present if a yellow precipitate formed. Later I mixed a seperate portion of the unknown soln with HCl and k4(fe(CN)6), and a purple precipitate formed, the lab said if a preciitate formed, it could be white, blue, or green, then zn2 ions were present. In the soln there is only cobalt or zn ions. I need to know which it is. pleasee please help me!!

Contact Lenses Help me Please :S?

Okay so I got my first pair of contacts yesterday (Trial Pair) and yesterday I didnt have much problem other than the occasional discomfort. Well today in the morning i put them in and had to wear them for 6 hours today like my doctor told me. At first I was alright just a little uncomfortable then an hour later or so my eyes would get REALLY watery and irritated continously so i took them out and put them back in to see if that was the problem and my eyes felt fine but then they kept getting irritated, and watery, and starting stinging and this time my eyes kinda got a little red. So i kept them in thinking its probably my eyes getting used to contacts and I held through the pain for hours. Well hours passed and now it was 30 mins before i could take them off and I couldnt handle it no more they were stinging bad and both of my eyes were getting foggy/blurry so i took them off and now my eyes are bloodshot and my right eye is very uncomfortable and i have this red mark around my Iris on my right eye. Is this normal for wearing contacts the first time? or am I allergic to them? I'm worried it might be an infection cause my eyes were getting very watery and irritated when i had them on. :S
